Meet Dr. Maria Jividen

Dr. Jividen grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated with honors from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Systems and Information Engineering and a minor in German Language and Literature. After college, she worked for four years in Washington, D.C. as a consultant at Deloitte LLP, where she applied her engineering skills to serve federal, commercial, and nonprofit clients. While she excelled in client service, she ultimately chose to pursue her childhood dream of becoming an orthodontist to make a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives.

Dr. Jividen graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, and then completed her postgraduate orthodontic residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. During her training, she gained extensive experience in advanced orthodontic techniques and was recognized for her exceptional patient care and outstanding academic achievements.

Dr. Jividen’s values align with those of our practice. She is approachable, kind, and genuinely passionate about serving others. Highly detail-oriented, she shares my patient-centered philosophy and occlusion-focused approach to crafting beautiful smiles.

From data engineer to smile engineer, Dr. Jividen is grateful to be home and is ready to serve the vibrant D.C. community—the very community that shaped and enriched her life so profoundly.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, exercising, cooking, and spending time outdoors. Dr. Jividen is excited to meet each of you and encourages you to reach out with any questions—orthodontic or otherwise.
